CNC Machined Jigs and Fixtures for Repeatable Production

Formexi machines jigs, inspection fixtures, assembly tooling and workholding components where repeatable datums, clamping access, wear, operator use and maintainability matter. A fixture should control the part without overconstraining or damaging it.

Design Inputs

Input Why it matters
Part datums Fixture contacts should reflect the controlled coordinate system.
Clamping load Excess force can distort thin or soft parts.
Tool/probe access Fixture must not block machining or inspection.
Production quantity Determines wear inserts, speed and changeover design.
Operator/robot use Controls ergonomics, sensors, clearances and error-proofing.

Materials and Wear Components

Aluminum supports lightweight and quick-change fixtures; steel supports stiffness and wear; hardened or ground inserts control repeated contact; plastics protect cosmetic parts. Replaceable wear elements may reduce long-term maintenance cost.

Inspection Fixtures Need Validation

A measurement fixture must be correlated to an accepted measurement method. Define master parts, calibration, repeatability, gauge R&R or validation where applicable. A fixture that holds a part is not automatically a valid gauge.

Design-Service Boundary

Formexi can manufacture approved fixture designs and may provide manufacturability feedback. Complete fixture design, controls, safety validation and production qualification are separate scopes unless explicitly quoted.

Apply CNC Machined Jigs and Fixtures for Repeatable Production to the Buyer Decision

For CNC Machined Jigs and Fixtures for Repeatable Production, use the controlling 2D drawing and 3D model to define part number and revision, material and condition, quantity and annual demand, critical tolerances and GD&T, roughness, heat treatment, surface finish, inspection documents, packaging, delivery address and target date. Identify confidentiality restrictions and which DFM changes may be considered for this part.

Price and lead time can be confirmed only after geometry, material availability, programming, workholding, external processes, inspection effort, first-article approval and logistics are reviewed together.
